MY personal trainer - Christian Livingston III, who I've been training with - for almost 7 years.
He is the one that first got me into fitness photography 6 years ago. Before that I was an average wedding photography... but I found my niche in fitness photography. As a former college athlete, he has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiologist (and of course is certified - ACMS-EP). |
He has always understood his brand (audience and messaging) really well; and during the last 6 years, I have helped with matching his photography to his brand. However, as my trainer, I appreciate how he works with older adults - encouraging us to stay active and functional with strength training - and how well he modifies all exercises around our current injuries. But besides workouts, we also have a common love for learning. During the first month of working with him, we were already recommending books to each other. And he has been inspiring me to look into meditation.
(BTW, although his target is older adults, he also occasionally gets their kids who are in sports too - b/c that's the power of niche marketing. Market to ONE audience and you'll get those AND the people they are connected to).

The Gym Ohio is an AMAZING facility (as you can see from my images above)!!! The main weight room is massive (this photo doesn't even cover the whole room), and even with a crowded parking lot - the gym still feels spacious. They also have a cycle room, a group cardio room, plenty of cardio machines, a sauna, an outdoor workout space, and so much more!!

Andrew Myers - Licensed Massage Therapist (Dublin, Ohio)

Andrew has been my Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for the last 6 years. He specializes in sports injuries and deep tissue massage. Similarly to my fitness trainer, he's also an avid reader and has a love for learning. We are both really ambitious and are always challenging each other and encouraging stronger mindsets. We've become great friends over time, and I've photographed his family too.
This photo demonstrates his family's sense of humor. When they asked if they could bring animal heads to their family session, my answer was a "hell yes, of course you can!!" |

I have worked with Kat for years!! You can find her most recent work on Instagram. We also collaborate on a series of fine art conceptual portraits (fairytale themed - pictured down below) - because why not?!? She has a studio in her home.
